That is a hard one, I suffered from year of it, and OCD, and anxiety attacks. So I know how hard it can be, the one thing I do know for sure is you must FIGHT IT! I know there is no easy way to do this, you have an actual medical condition and it is anxiety, your not crazy, your not weaker, you have a medical problem. However, it is something that you can learn to manage, does it ever go away, NO, does it get better, yes, but only if you apply yourself to getting better, that means you have to work on it and hard. There is cognitive therapy and this has had excellent results, RETRAIN the BRIAN, works wonders, this is a long process, NO pill to fix it, no quick fix, only TIME, only precious time working on the problem. Good books can be an excellent and very rewarding tool to combat against anxiety. I recommend you speak with your dr. first, and tell them you don’t want to try medicine first, you would like to work on first and go to support groups, sounds ironic a support GROUP for social anxiety, but they have them and funny enough that can be something that will help you break it out of your shell too. SELF CONFIDENCE is another huge thing, and your current situation at home work, stress levels, etc. take a look and start to note your life style, and do a pros and cons list for yourself, will be very helpful for you. yes try fish oil as it has helped things like agoraphobia and related things.
take 3-5 mg. also increase omega three fatty acides by eating fish (best sources are canned or fresh (but not farm raised) salmon, mackeral, sardines and herring) also walnuts (raw) and flax seed and flax seed oil. Reduce omega six fats (veggie oils)
