Has anyone had brain mapping done to diagnose a behavioural problem or learning problem?

I had a Quantitative EEG Analysis done or (brain mapping) because of dizziness and soreness and other stuff due from viral meningitis and the neurologist wanted to make sure my brain waves were reading right and i just got my results and the brain mapping showed no permant damage from meningitis but hyperactivity on the top of my head which is conisitant with an anxirty disorder. He diagonsed me with general anxiety disorder and gave me herbal medication that is a very strong antiinflamatory (because im still sore from meningitis) and he said it can help to relax me it also helps with neurotransmittion in the brain so he thinks it should help with my memory loss i have been experiencing sense i have been sick. Could brain mapping be wrong? I dont feel anxious the results read "anxiety higher then a normal study/exam stress, consistant with generalised anxiety disorder" I thought a psych had to diagnose me not a neurologist?

The best thing I know to do would be to go and visit a psychiatrist and ask them. They would be able to tell you. I have asked for blood tests and exams and there is really nothing other than behavior and thoughts and such to make a diagnosis of that nature, that I am aware of. ………I did ask but there is nothing. I would like more information if you find out if there is some new thing out…so email me if you do find out about this because I have anxiety and depression. I hope you find your answer. God Bless!!
